The shopper stands on the scanner in their socks. An array of cameras and depth sensors photographs both feet simultaneously from several angles, and software reconstructs each foot as a 3D model. The model is measured automatically by the same algorithm every time, so the result does not depend on who is holding a measuring tool or how the shopper is standing relative to it.

What does a 3D foot scanner measure?

- Length — heel to longest toe, per foot. Most people have two different feet, and the scan records both.
