Bauer and Volumental teamed up to develop a proprietary skate fitting engine, providing not only detailed insights into the customer's foot metrics, but specific skate recommendations in both model and size. In Summer 2017, we rolled out the 3D skate lab with hundreds of premium hockey retailers around the world. This fitting solution forms the basis of Bauer's 'Player Profile', developed by Volumental to allow Bauer and Bauer retailers to build a B2C relationship with customers, based on a deep understanding of the customer's needs and the player dynamics.

With their 'always in beta' approach and focus on fit, New Balance were the perfect choice of partner for Volumental. In summer 2016, Volumental and New Balance teamed up to provide customers with the ultimate in-store experience, integrating New Balance's proprietary gait analysis technology, StrideID. Together, New Balance and Volumental are working to ensure a faster and smoother fitting process in-store. ECCO is a brand world known for its style and comfort. It is a wholly vertically integrated company with control of the entire process from source to shoe. Together with Volumental they are bringing to market one of the first customized shoes in what they call a one stop hub to access both customization and consumer data.
Korean retail giant Lotte operate 34 locations with over 10,000 employees. The Volumental scanner is being marketed as a premium service in their Seoul flagship store in Myeongdong and other premium locations, adding value to their footwear division.
Fleet Feet Sports is an iconic American athletics chain, with 167 stores around the US, over 150 of which feature a Volumental scanner. With a strong emphasis on understanding fit and foot dynamics, they are a natural choice of partner for Volumental. With their Fit ID concept they are leveraging our technology to offer the Fleet Feet fit expertise and experience to their customers, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. A visitor to one of their stores described the scanning in a post on instagram as “the best experience ever” making Fleet feet “the most comprehensive running stores” he had ever been to.
Wintersteiger, with its brand BootDoc, is a large ski boot insoles provider, selling to stores across the northern hemisphere. BootDoc leverages the Volumental insoles recommendation function (awarded Best Ski Product of the Year at ISPO 2017 in Munich) in-store insole recommendations, further demonstrating the versatility of the scanning solution.
